Appearance: She is beautiful, there's no doubt about that. Her face is slightly wide, with strong cheeks, that slim down to a fine chin, her cheeks have the chubbiness of a good diet, but it's a healthy shape. There's nothing wrong with the shape of her face, and when she smiles those cheeks are used to their full advantage concerning the dimples that appear. She knows how to use those dimples of hers. Her mouth is slightly small, with lips that are barely any rosier then the rest of her skin. Normally she paints then to make then appear more red, as is seemly among woman of a certain class. It is her eyes, thin oval shapes under a fine brow, that really catch people's attention. Both of then sit under a fine brow, and both are mostly blue. IN fact, her left one is completely blue, it's her right one that's not. Sectoral heterochromia is a condition where part of one eye is a different colour. Part of Eiriana's right eye is brown. It's on the right edge of her pupil, and looks rather like someone's spilled the colour in water and left it to bleed out.
Her hair is deep black, carefully maintained to a high standard, and without a single tangle or split end in sight...If she can help it. It reaches down to her waist in a smooth mass, uncurled and with only the slightest kink where it bends on her neck. Usually, two pieces of hair from the front are pulled back and braided together at the back. Just think how elves usually wear their hair, and you've got it. The fringe is longer around the sides them it is at the very front, and those longer parts are usually tucked behind her ears, leaving a lock of fringe in the middle of her forehead.
She's a willowy individual, standing at an...impressive six foot, she's most certainly an impressive figure. Not everything on her is muscle, she doesn't do enough work for that, and the thin layer of fat adds a roundness to the slim figure she has, which can only improve her. Her legs are slim and well toned with smooth calves and thighs, delicate feet and a knee that isn't too bulky and lumpy. Her waist is a tiny affair, settling above a nice pair of hips that give her a small hourglass curve that's hardly noticeably unless she's wearing a skin tight corset. Which she does. Often. Her shoulders are straight, and she always carries them slightly pushed back, and half lowered. You can tell by the way she moves, the way she holds herself that she believes herself to be some form of royalty. Her hands are, well, a master piece to be honest. Slim and finely bonded fingers attached to a hand that is equally fine and well made. They're used to sewing and playing a guitar, but not much more then that. At the moment, the skin is smooth and soft, but will the chores that come with candidatehood, and the work of a rider roughen it up?
Personality: Eiriana is a poisoned child indeed. Arrogant, vain and hidebound in old traditions, she is not a good person, and acts like a spoilt brat when things do not go her way. She is, in her own mind, the perfect example of a Pernese woman. Her ideas are the right ones, she is correct in everything she does, no one else can be right, no one else can be as beautiful as her, as strong as her, as utterly fabulous as her. It's her arrogant and vain nature that cuts her off most of the time from the rest of society. She doesn't think it's right for anyone common to ride something above Blue, let alone a common girl on Gold; and a girl on a Blue or a Brown, well, that's just plain disgusting in her eyes. Eiriana also enjoys wrapping people around her little finger, and her father is such a good example of this it's almost stupid. He'd do anything for her, and she loves it.
Despite all of this she's an annoyingly good little actress. If it benefits her then she'll put up with the common folk hanging around her, and encourage everyone else to be her friend. She's like that girl at school that's so popular and you can't understand why since she's just so judging and down right mean at times. People she likes will be treated like she'd treat someone her won rank; this can be anyone from the Weyrleaders, to Bronzeriders and Lord and Lady Holders, or people of her own 'rank'. Anyone else...You're generally pushed away, treated like scum and you're not spoken to again. You can be her friend one moment, then be pushed away the next. She's a fickle, spoilt little girl used to be allowed to do as she likes. Be warned though, you could have been her friend for Turns, but if you Impress Green or Blue, then she does not know you.
In truth she just needs a firm hand to control her, someone to make her see sense and keep her from being too stupid or too arrogant. In her eyes that someone should be male; I say in her eyes, she most certainly thinks no one – male or female – should control her, but she thinks it is the right and proper thing to look at members of the opposite gender. Yes, she's homophobic, incredibly so, obviously so. As long as you don't tell her you're gay, then you're safe. She naturally presumes everyone is heterosexual, and will say that it is the natural way of things. Anyone else is a freak. Silly little girl. In truth, she's terrified of anyone who looks at the same gender. She was raised to believe that those sort of people were wrong, and that to talk to them or even consider being like them was one of the worst things that could happen to you.
History: She was born privileged, spoilt, waited upon hand and foot. She never needed anything throughout her entire life. Her food was presented to her when she ordered it, toys were brought to her when she wanted them, friends were there when she needed them; she wanted for nothing. It wasn't that her family was particularly well off, rather that her father and mother wanted her to have everything. Pushy parents, if you will. They wanted the perfect daughter she eventually – in their eyes – became, and they would make sure they got her. The two of them together had very little rank, the father being a merchant and the mother simply a member of a small family in society, they wanted more then that.
Life with them was almost hard, despite the comforts and treats she was given. She had to learn everything there was to do with etiquette, behaviour, mannerisms, what knife and fork to use, lady like behaviour, how to walk, talk, read, write, hold herself, how to move her head just so to show interest without appearing overly eager and a hundred and one other things that, for some reason, her family deemed it important she should know. They wanted to marry her of as soon as they were able to a high ranking holder, one who could give them more prestige, and more importantly – money. Her father did well at the business, but that didn't stop him wanting more and more of the stuff. So, he treated his daughter like a prize brood mare in the end, and despite her mother's words of comfort, she grew to hate him. It wasn't a childish hate, like that of a child who's been deprived a toy (though there was a fair share of that as well) this was the anger of being treated like nothing more then a tool, like she wasn't worth being treated like a person. On the outside, she remained the sweet and loving daughter, on the inside she slowly rotted away with anger. Eventually, she set about ridding herself of him.
Sixteen Turns at the time, she brought herself a little store of poison, and with it she began to douse her father's meals. She had been told it would do little more then turn his brain to mush when used in small doses, and the information proved to be right. She congratulated herself as her father grew to depend more and more on her, and less and less on himself. She would take control of the business, she would be in command! Only, something terrible went wrong. Her father agreed on a business trip with a friend, and although Eiriana had by now forced enough of the poison down his throat that he'd never truly recover, she was worried. She needn't have bothered worrying. The party was attacked by the most feared creature on Pern: a Shattered. She never found out the colour, but her father's death hit her hard; in more ways then one.
The business was handed over to one of her brothers, much to her chagrin, and her mother was shoved into a deep depression, no longer seeking to find her daughter a husband. Suddenly, Eiriana had nothing. It was a horrible thing indeed, something she ranted and raved above for almost a Turn before suddenly, there was a little bit of hope. The dragons came over in a Search, Durelaith had laid her clutch on the sands, and on there, an egg that could possibly hold Gold. She didn't care about the fact that it would mean riding something that could turn into what had killed her father, oh no. She could Impress Gold. That made her heart sing! She had a purpose now, and as soon as the riders came, she was there, ready and waiting because she knew she was worthy of a dragon. They accepted that fact warily, the Green that searched her more then a little sceptic, but finding her worthy of a dragon all the same. So she went to the Weyr; where she found more of the types of people she didn't like then she'd ever expected to find. But she was there for a reason.
Other: I'm hoping that her personality makes up for her appearance. She's well bred, and well kept, so that's my explanation for how good she looks.
Impression Info
Honorific: None!
Preference: Colour wise? Blow me away! I'll accept anything! Just make sure the dragon isn't a carbon copy of her? Add some difference, even if it's only a tiny little thing?
