Now that I beat the crap out of your mind with Acronyms, a question.
Greatminds and Everminds have some pretty beefy mental abilities, yeah. But how far can these go? In my posts I always feel as if I'm toeing a fine line between creative and godmoding.
If these dragons can assume full control of another with only a fraction of their brainpower, as suggested by the info thread, there would be a huge number of game-breaking things they can do.
Total sensory manipulation of a single dragon, stronger minds multiple.
Blockading telepathic communication
Conscious control of every minute bodily process of self
Insertion into the mind of another in full personality
Locking down some of other's body functions.
Mental scrubbing, scanning, inserting falsified thoughts.
Various potentially deadly mental attacks.
Possibly force a dragon Between, to a chosen destination.
As there are some things I feel Fulmeninith would do immediately on instinct but could really mess with other player's actions, especially telepathic blockading and limited control of their body. Some things would be completely logical and make total sense, but would result in things like Everminds being able to single-handedly attack a small Weyr and have a decent chance at victory, and any violent conflict against a Great- or Evermind would invariably end in the death of the opponent.
I think I've been using decent judgment in my posts, but I'm withholding my next post in Alchioth's 'Flight' because frankly Fulmeninith wouldn't let Alchioth speak to anyone as the Green did in the most recent post. He could clamp down on Alchioth's speech right quick and turn anyone trying to pursue the green temporarily blind. I'm not sure what would be acceptable, and if Greatminds and Everminds are as powerful as we're led to believe, he could probably between himself AND Alchioth to a place very far away from the Weyr at his leisure and convenience.
