Character Number: 4(If you count Nejun & Sydon)
The Character
Name: Angharad
Nicknames: Angie(hates it because it sounds like a girl's name), Ghar, An
Age: 18 turns
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual before. still claims he's straight but is he really? >3
Eyes: Brilliant blue eyes with vague hints of blue-green in them seem fairly angry most of the time, perhaps comparable to the sea during a storm or when a whirlpool is churning up tropical waters.
Hair: Dark hair is pretty common on Pern, and Angharad is not one of those who are an execption to that. Ebony, otherwise known as black, is the coloring of it. Tending to keep it rather long, Angharad prefers to keep his hair drawn back in what would be known as a "ponytail" on Earth with a simple hair tie made out of rawhide. Occassionally, he has to go and replace it as it tends to get worn down after awhile.
Overall Appearance: Typically of a normal shade of skin color, Angharad is somewhere between what would be considered light and medium with a tendency to darken easily if he spends enough hours in the sunlight. Though as of late, he tends to avoid the outdoors and contact with people he used to know and remembers and thus, his skin color is lighter than it used to be. Besides considering his skin color, there is also what he wears that can be taken into consideration. Angharad used to be fond of various shades of blue, reds, and green but now, he hardly wears them at all if he can get away with it. Neutral colors like grays, browns, and black have found their way into his wardrobe and seem here to stay for now, indications of the change that has occurred for him.
Standing at five feet and seven inches, there is still the possiblity of a small growth spurt for Angharad, putting him eventually at five feet and ten or eleven inches. What is known for certain, the teenager will never exceed six feet and even six feet might be a bit too tall for him. Having a somewhat of an average frame, he is neither overly thick or overly thin. Average weight, average built, there seems nothing extraordinary about his physically, although, he is a little bit more gaunt than he used to be. Surprisingly, he has remained fairly unscarred by anything except for a small but wide scar on his upper left arm, towards his shoulder from getting clawed at Impression from his former dragon by accident.
Personality: Introvert, Homophobic, Honest, Flirtatious, Saracastic, Angry
When it comes down to it, Angharad has always been one to think and mostly those reflections have been about his self and what his opinions are of other people. Thinking, thinking, thinking about himself. Heck, he even is a bit arrogrant and definitely self-centered at times. Though, he is nowhere near as arrogrant as he was before he Impressed and while he had his dragon. Fhorsth's death has affected him somewhat, not to point of losing it but it did change his personality somewhat.
However, he has a definite hatred and innate fear of any man who isn't straight. Angharad considers them unnatural and often his disdain for them is so obvious, even when he doesn't say anything. And when he does speak, sparks will fly and whoever is a male rider and has a jealous or anger-prone green wher or dragon should keep away from him as much as possible. It's surprising that he hasn't yet gotten mauled by such a green. Maybe then again, he has some luck or they know something about him that will be plenty of revenge upon the guy for mocking their rider or handler. His own fear might stem from something that he himself is but just won't admit to himself. Maybe if he reImpresses or someone comes along and does the right things under the right circumstances, he'll finally be forced to face it. (In other words, he's in DEEEEEENIAL.)
When it comes to saying what's on his mind, An can be incredibly blunt and straight-forward, especially when he's insulting someone. At other times, he can be vague and his words subtle but still containing the truth in them. One really needs to learn how to pick up on subltey around him or be able to take the harshness of his own words. In other words, he's a sharding mystery with his words and you can almost never tell whether he quite means something or not. Unless he's insulting a certain type of person. Then you can tell he's being incredibly straight forward.
Despite his harshness and rather lately anger-prone personality, he can calm down just enough to flirt with girls. After all, it is one of the few things he really enjoys since Fhorsth is gone. Toying with women's hearts gives him a sense of sasification, perhaps steming from the need to inflict the same grief that he has upon others. He can't be the only one miserable. Others need to feel it as well and the more so, the better. In fact, he enjoys playing the role of a "perfect gentleman" to fool them, never getting attached to one woman. While he didn't used to be so heartless and cruel, the loss of Fhorsth seem to take away any gentleness and kindness he truly once had.
Sarcasm. The fuel that allows him some barrier from other people from digging too deep. They don't need to remind him of Fhorsth's death or be so sensitive about it around him. He isn't something that is going to fall apart any moment. Though, he and Fhorsth used to exchange saracastic comments back and forth between each other as a game. In a need to remember the brown, the young man continues his sarcasm, making it a daily part of a conversation between him and other people. If he can confuse people with sarcasm, he gets a sense of bitter joy.
Angry. Angharad was never known to get so visibly angry before. While being arrogrant, he more insulted people rather than got furious at them. After all, they were beneath him and thus, were not worth making a fuss over. Now, on the other hand, he gets worked up and often resorts to fists over situations that wouldn't have riled him before. He blames partially himself for not being able to prevent Fhorsth from chasing after that gold-sized Shattered Bronze. He hates the Shattereds with a passion that will never allow him to accept the existence of a single one. He also houses a hatred for male greenriders of any sexuality. Although, he doesn't tell anyone why. In the most part, the anger stems from the aching loss that Fhorsth's loss had inflicted on him. Instead of facing the gaping hole and guilt that exists there, he lashes out at other people, trying hard to forget.
History: There will be sob stories, but don't make everybody have one.
Impression Info
Honorific: Ang'ra, formerly G'rad
Preference: Just give him whatever fits him best. I don't really care color-wise.
