(Note: This is open to NPCs and playable characters like. Shattered or bonded dragons. It does not matter who Chases. This just needs chasers! =D)
WHO DARES?!? the dragoness hissed as she took off for the skies, eyes whirling a mixture of purple and red. The usually docile and happy, hyper green had been signs of being ready for her first Flight for the past two days and so had her rider, F'chion. Both had been acting out of character and now it was obvious to both as to why. But that didn't matter much at the moment as Alliath's wings pumped skyward and she was ready, ready to find the most perfect male in the entire Weyr to suit her. I want you here! she demanded to the males of the weyr, angry tones turning her high-pitched voice into a deadly force. Yes, she was ready, though her rider was not.
He had been barely at Falmas Weyr for more than three sevendays. And yet, it would be here that Alliath would have her first Flight. And the seventeen turn-old was now extremely taxed. A Flight could only end in one way and he hadn't seen too many male dragons with female riders at this Weyr. Which meant only one thing. He was going to end up with another man! Replused, he attempted to stay upright as he fled from the hallways, making his way towards his weyr. What could go wrong? Well, many, many would be able to find out.

Theruntyth was sunning on his ledge, something that he often did. His hide was a bright, colorful blue, the kind of color that you used to explain the meaning of "blue" to toddlers. He was on the small side length wise, but bulky and strong. Usually he liked to nap on the ledge, but today he was restless. Finally the moment he had been waiting for arrived. Rising onto his haunches, he bugled his challenge to the beautiful green. I chase! he announced loudly, speaking to both Alliath and his rider.
Said rider was flirting with a cute drudge in the kitchen. L'ton was a short, slender man who used his delicate features and blue eyes to his best advantage while he was flirting with anything that moved on two legs. "Oops. Sorry, honey, I have to go." L'ton grinned and gave the drudge's butt a pinch before walking out. Out in the weyrbowl, he looked up to see Theruntyth launching himself into the air after the green.
Hmm, that must be the new green, L'ton thought. He headed for the greenrider's weyrs and found the man running down the hallways towards his room. "Not so fast!" L'ton called, racing after the rider, giggling. He guessed it was a maiden Flight. The younger man didn't seem too happy.
((NPC for now, might be making him into a full character.))

When Relarventh bugled his challenge, D'ron looked up from the desk he was working at and looked out onto the ledge just in time to see his bronze push himself out into the open air. Rell...? he asked in confusion, and as he got up to look outside the Weyrleader got the reply from his dragon. Alliath Rises, and I go to catch her. Groaning as he realized what was happening, D'ron ran his hand back through his hair irritatedly before asking, Really, Relarventh. Now? You know Vaien will not be happy if you catch her, and neither will Durelaith. Plus, her rider is male, Rell. The sound of his wings pushing hard down on the air was almost audible, and as the Bronze got within sight of Alliath he replied, Aww, mine. Have some fun. She's rather goodlooking, too...
Sighing, D'ron did only as the beginning stages of Flightlust would allow and began to make his way out of his quarters and down the stairs. He was disgusted with himself, but it was only for a night and to refuse his dragon this would be terrible of him. Anyways, his big bronze would probably lose, seeing as how he couldn't match the tight maneuverability of a green or blue. Relarventh would try, though, if only to preserve his pride, and so D'ron had to go along with it.
Striding down the hallway with his usual confidence, D'ron muttered under his breath and turned a corner, catching a glimpse of L'ton and a door swinging shut. Damn dragon. You disgust me, D'ron annoyedly told the bronze as he winged upwards into the sky over Alliath, calling down his answer to her earlier challenge. I dare, my gleaming emerald beauty. Relarventh saved his dripping compliments for Flights and Durelaith alone, and so when he spoke them they were usually taken well.

Alliath, I accept your challenge, you foxy Green! I'm ready for you!
Way to go, Month.
J'kharl rolled his eyes at his crude Brown's attempts to 'seduce' the Rising Green. He made his way through the weyrs casually, hands in the pockets of his trousers. His muscled, tanned frame was slouched, and a distinctly displeased look was across his face, gray eyes half lidded to further display his irritation. When the Brownrider rounded the corner into the weyr where F'chion was, the irritated look disappeared, swept off in exchange for one of incredulity.
"Shards, you're really young, aren't you."
He didn't state it as a question, merely as a fact. J'kharl overlooked the fact that F'chion was a guy, that really wasn't that important during a Flight--and anyway, Month had decided to Chase and Alliath had decided to Rise, so they were really all in the same boat here. Nothing that there wasn't anybody else here yet, J'kharl wondered silently if nobody else had risen to Chase. He was sure that there would be some, definitely, but for now, it looked like he was the only one who had 'followed the dragon-brick road' to the rider of the one who Rose.
While J'kharl was having a distinctly unpleasant time back in the Weyr, Month was having the time of his life up in the skies, streaking after the lithe form of Allianth as she rose. Oh baby, you've definitely got Month after you. He said smoothly to her alone, grinning in what he thought was a sexy way, but was really rather unpleasant. He rose up after her, lusting, seeking, craving....waiting. He was at her beck and call now, and Month would do anything for Allianth in this flight-drunk state--anything.

A steel blue streak bowled over some bustling drudges as the beast flared its wings and slammed into the air. Oh Jade queen, let me guide you through the skies away from these lesser! The blue trumpeted to the green form above him and his chest swelled with pride and air to fuel him higher. Browns and Bronzes, bah! Those great ghalootes should never be able to make it off the ground in the first place with their fatty bulk, the blue thought with a snort. He snarled at his much larger competitors and turned on a wing to face the Bronze with a whirling purple red eye. Shouldn’t you be off chasing Gold tail, oh dragon king? Or has she shunned you off onto our turf you puffed up wherry? The blue snottily called to the lone bronze before hacking a cough that sent a glob of saliva flying in the towards the large dragon. His burbled chuckle rang out then with devious cowardice the blue dropped into a dive with a grin of self satisfaction. Great Green queen, surely you do not want those brutes when you can have Emproth? He called sweetly to the green with an upturned eye.
“Shard it you blasted beast! They’ll rip you to shreds!” Km’hul shouted both mentally and physically to those around him, earning a curious stare that only enforced his frantic scamper from the dining hall. His long limbs carried him with due speed to the location of the Green’s rider and he noted the others present with an apologetic nod of his head. Oh dear Faranth, help him!
He stared mesmerized at the dragons flitting about the air, his eyes fixing angrily on a steel blue hide with electric blue shocks on its wings. The beast was long and whippy but not weak, simply put wiry. He shook his head with disapproval at his Blue’s actions and hope the creature would refrain from further scorn to his higher ranked brothers. Why during a flight must choose to rise above his cowardice and openly display his hatred for the hierarchy!?

The dragoness did not have to wait long to get an anwser and she positively was filled with delight with the rapidness of the response. Alliath lazily hovered above the Weyrbowl for a few moments before returning to her fast and furious wingpumping. She needed to get up in the air as far and as fast as possible! Four mindvoices belonging to two blues, a brown, and a bronze soon crooned after her and she felt powerful, felt as if she was the one in control. And when Emproth spit at Relarvanth, she hissed at all the males, I control this Flight. Don't you forget, boys. Then she flicked her tail, facets whirling at a high speed. Come and get me! And with that, she preceeded to perform a loop that put her behind all of them and then flying as fast as she could to get away from all of them.
If he had had it his way, F'chion would have been able to get to his own weyr before anyone else had gotten there and locked the door for the entire duration of the Flight. No entrance being permitted to any of the men whose dragons were Chasing. He had heard what L'ton had said but hadn't responsed back. However, that was not to be as the first one appeared. The youth vaguely recongized him as a brownrider, couldn't remember his or his dragon's names.
"It's her f-first," his words stumbled out as way of explaination. Blue-black eyes looked away as more riders came, desperation clearly in them. It was happening way, way, way too fast for him to comphred. "Just go away," he mumbled, "Go away." Face pale, he tried to concentrate on not throwing up.

(NPC, May be made adoptable or I might keep him. S'chai and Brown Rynianth color = 944B0C)
Another brown slowly lifted his head as he heard the young green cry out for chasers. Rynianth was not a huge brown, in fact, he was more than a bit runty at only the size of a large blue, but he was quick in mind, wing, and word. The green beauty would not fly alone, not while he had strength in his wings to give her the chase she deserved.
She is so fair to look upon S'chai, I chase. Hers is male, so you can chase too.
With a swipe of the back of his hand, S'chai pushed the dark brown bangs out of his eyes. They were at that irritating stage where the hair was long enough to get in his eyes, but too short to pull back and have it stay there. His brown was crouching now, but the brownrider had hardly seen his dragon move from the splayed out pose on his weyrledge, basking and half-asleep to this alert pose, every muscle quivering with eagerness to be aloft. With a gentle croon, the softly earth colored brown was in the air.
Little green jewel, I am Rynianth and would chase you if you would have me.
It was a bit of an advantage for Rynianth that he had joined the flight last because he was able to leap into the air and twist after her without having to lose much momentum in the turn. If the sun had been shining, slightly coppery brown highlights would have slid across his sleek, muscular body like oil, but overcast as it was, his softly brown hide was not shown to full advantage. Rynianth could only hope that they would break through the clouds and he could show her his own handsomeness.
S'chai had, after nearly getting lost, reached the greenrider's weyr in time to hear the remark about it being the graceful green's first flight. He tried to smile comfortingly, but feared that the young man, afraid as he was, would mistake it for a leer.

That you do, Allianth, that you do. I'm behind you all the way.
Month being Month, he wasn't going to leave this until he had gotten something, which always spelled bad luck for J'kharl. The massive Brown always pulled a stunt like this, taking off on a Chase right when his rider had been attempting to do something else. Such a tailchaser, this one was!
"Oh. First time." J'kharl nodded understandingly, recalling his first time. He backed away some, standing just outside the entrance to F'chion's weyr. He'd be there if the younger rider needed it, but for now, he would watch and restrain himself.

Theruntyth circled below Alliath as she hovered, then sped after her when she took off again. He flew quickly, trying to get an early lead on the bigger bronzes and browns. Unlike the others, he didn't bother to try and flatter her with fancy words. He knew he wasn't good with words, so there was no point. He would just impress her with his flying. When she flipped around, he paused for a split second in confusion, then turned on a wingtip to reverse direction. He flew fast too, striving to keep up with her pace.
L'ton ran after the greenrider, finally reaching his weyr. The poor kid looked terrified as he explained that it was her first Flight. "No kidding," he muttered. Didn't the Weyrlingmasters teach them about Flights anymore. He knew he should keep his distance, but his dragon's lust was taking over, and L'ton had never been very restrained to begin with so it didn't take much to lose his inhibitions. He padded up to F'chion, smiling and cupping a hand around the younger man's cheek. "Go away? Why would we want to do that? We can't leave this cute little greenrider all alone."

((Shattered...? >:3))
Fools. Fulmeninith looked to the west. A Flight. He believed it to be green, with the varied responses he could probe out. Mostly minor colors. Fulmeninith needed the exercise, and being Shattered could get a bit lonely at times. Lets see how much discord can be sown. A green in flight without the partner... I may get myself an ally just off this.
The rogue Blue prodded a little harder at the lust-filled mind, and looked for the rider. From this mind he plucked an image of the Green herself, and went Between.
He came out under the Flight group, and winged it up. Five chasers. Two blue. Two brown. Bronze. Bronze? Interesting. Well, some of the competition wasn't so hot, then. If you want empty promises and a meaningless waste of emotion, precious emerald Alliath, by all means leave me behind. But I can show you something they cannot. Fulmeninith moved into the flurry of wings chasing the Green about the skies above the Weyr
A free mind.

The other dragons did not worry him, at least until one of the blues, Emproth, confronted him and ended up spitting in his direction. Ducking at the last second, he lost his altitude and came up under the chasers, and as such he didn't have much momentum carrying him foward when Alliath made her quick loop. Diving down and looping that way, he came back up to his previous altitude with a twist to get himself righted before snarling back in the mutinous blue's direction. Your turf? If I am a dragon king, like you have so kindly stated, them ALL is my territory, not just the flights of Golds. After sending him another red glare, the bronze turned his faceted eyes back to the green, until another flash of blue caught his eye.
Tilting his head midflight, Relarventh looked to see a familiar blue, one that was familiar to his memory because of his penchant for remembering dragons of THAT kind. Left to chasing bonded dragons now, eh Fulmeninth? Dragons must be getting a little scare out in the wilds, then, I suppose. All this was said as a sneer, and as he spoke the bronze winged over until he was flying abreast of the Shattered blue, waiting to see the reaction of the Greatmind.
Back in the Weyr, D'ron was keeping a tight grip on his emotions as he strove to remain as emotionless as possible. Had this been one of Durelaith's flights, he'd be all over Vaien already, but as it was this was not his weyrmate and besides, this was the greenrider's first flight. He didn't want to shake up the male more than necessary. He was staring particularly hard at a spot on the wall when he noticed something in Rell's thoughts.... A shattered. A Shattered had shown up to fly the green as well. Damn it. "Perfect timing," he cursed under his breath, not really caring about who heard him. This could turn bad...

Emproth snarled as his projectile missed the large bronze target but he was slightly satisfied with the altitude the dragon lost. His chest burst outwards and he winged over the bronze with deliberate slow beats to show his hauteur. A rumble vibrated him from nose to tail as he was hit with Relarventh's retort. Before he could crack back with another spit ball a blue flurry caught the gleam of his purple-red eye. Oh, if this is your territory then surely you can protect it from a measly Shattered budging in on your Flight? This twist was much better than any projectile he could muster!
He turned on a wing tip and shot after the new coming blue, slowing to a steady rhythm when his nose was equal with the Shattered flank. Ah, decided to come out of hiding, eh? I suggest you deal with Oh Grand and Glorious over there, for this is his domain. He burbled into the mind of Fulmeninith then broke away like a frightened runner beast as if he just realized who he had bespoke. At least it was a blue Shattered. The thug would certainly be able to show Relarventh what his color could do! Turning away from his opponents with a smug grin he slashed his wings through the air and hurtled towards the green gem.
Far below Emproth's aerial plague Km'hul was practically shaking with anger. Through tightly clenched teeth he muttered a strand of curses towards the blue and his stupid high self esteem. If you by some miracle you don't get yourself killed by the Bronze or the Shattered I'll take it upon myself to finish you! He shouted into the dragon's mind, but was only met by a snort of humor. Settle Mine, they will turn on each other and I will have only the Browns to deal with. Emproth replied with such a cocky air of self confidence that Km'hul shivered with fear. This was no time for schemes, not with the Weyrleader's Bronze and a rouge dragon in the flight. Surely Emproth wouldn't partake in any more folly, if one so much as nipped at him?

Alliath tilted her head around as soon as she heard another male's mindvoice amongst those Chasing her. With her facets fixed upon the newest chaser, she teased the brown with a honey-sweet voice, Of course, you may chase Ryaniath, but I am the one who decides what happens in the end! Obviously, the green was taunting the male, withholding the true prize from him as she offered the barest hint of it. With that said, she flew higher into the skies, reveling in the sheer joy of the air beneath her wings. But something was wrong, still holding her down to the earth. The same something was keeping her from playing with all of her chasers like she truly wanted to. That something was her rider. And that simply would not do. She wanted to be able to enjoy herself completely and she had an idea on just how she could do that.
Alliath's solution was to simply shove Flightlust by the bucketloads into F'chion's mind as L'ton was approaching him. The result? The teenager staggered, dizzy with the Flightlust threatening to overwhelm him. And it gave L'ton the opportunity to reach over and cup a hand around his cheek. As the bluerider spoke to him, he attempted to regain his equilibrium. "Because I want you to?" the greenrider managed to say, "Though, I suppose I really don't have a choice." Those words were borderline sarcastic, bitter in tone but also tainted with Flightlust. In other words, it was beginning to get confusing...
With the Flightlust being forced into F'chion's mind, dragonrider and dragoness were at the point where their minds were bonded together in Flight. The green performed several front flips in the air, exhilarated from the new further extent of cooperation Hers was giving her. Yes, it was forced and still restraining. However, she had gained as much freedom as she would be able to pull from F'chion at this state. She was free to Fly truly now!
And then the ones of the catalysts for chaos appeared from between. The blue Shattered Fulmeninth's mindvoice caused Alliath to pause in the midst of her newfound "freedom" and listen. Something that the others couldn't show her? And pray what would that be? Flying in now lazy spirals above her chasers, she listened to the offer. A free mind? Meaning what? That she would be able to have her Flight without F'chion inhibiting her? That she would be free to choose to do whatever she wanted? The idea was exciting but she had chosen her Bonded for life... Let me think about it, she crooned only to the Shattered. I alone will make my choice! was what she declared with a hiss to all of her Chasers. And with that, she started on her course to challenge them.
Weaving and ducking in-between her chasers, she brushed a wingtip on the bronze's hide. So the King of Flights joins us mere colors? Alliath crooned in her honey-sweet voice. If you are king, then prove to me you are. she teased him, diving downwards towards another of her chasers. Oh, this was indeed the fun she had wanted all of the time! And now, she was getting it!
Emproth! the green called out, You think to be better than all of them here? Alliath pulled out of her dive, under the blue being addressed at the moment. It seems to me that you insist on being full of pride. She then whispered into his mind seductively, But pride is always so handsome a trait in a male. Then she pulled away, snaking upwards once more towards another of her chasers.
You've been awfully quiet, Theruntyth. she mused out loud to the blue. I admire your devotion to me. the green commented as she let her tail trickle up his side as she flew past him. Actions do sometimes speak louder than words ever can. Alliath admitted to the blue. But is that the case with you? I cannot tell yet. The green moved away from the blue, heading to play with Month.
Performing a loop around the brown, her facets gleamed with a wicked light in them. You are one of the few that realizes the power I hold on this Flight, she crooned to him. Thank you for that. I appreciate it. the dragoness barrelrolled to be close to the brown. But I have still yet to decide who I want. So, you must remain hanging for a little while more, big and strong brown. And with that, she had only one Chaser left to truly taunt before she made any sort of choice.
Oh, Ryaniath! What am I to do with you? the green giggled, teasing the brown in question. Her muzzle brushed against his side and a draconic grin appeared on her face as she drew her head away. Second to last to arrive, and yet so humble! You really are a splendid brown and I wish we have had more time to get to play in this Flight! But I think it's time for me to make my choice! With that said, she barreled past all of her chasers, rising up on green winds as fast as she could on a warm updraft of air.
Meanwhile, F'chion had been battling between the desires presented by the Flightlust and the desires he had. He had fallen into some sort of daze, preoccupied with his battle and not paying attention to what his body was doing. What his body was up to was simply standing there, relaxed and not relaxed at the same time. Nothing majorly happening as Alliath darted back and forth between the clouds. And now, she was going to make her choice. Replusion spread through him and he thought, No! No! No! No! He didn't want it to end that way! Not at all!
Alliath had regained the height lost and now was soaring in the clouds. She was ready to make her choice, even as she felt how her rider was already melded into her mind. That would only make it easier to do what she wanted! Mentally cackling, she declared to all of her chasers, bonded and Shattered dragons alike. I've made my choice and my choice is-! her mindvoice was cut off as she Shattered, causing F'chion's body to fall backwards and his head to hit the wall. No conciousness remained as a concusion formed and a empty shell was left behind, the equivelant of what happened when a Dementor in the Harry Potter universe sucked out a soul. The greenrider's body was still alive but without what made it F'chion. In other words, as good as dead.
F'chion was drawn into the fullest extend into Alliath's mind but he only thought it was a result of the Flightlust, not a Shattering. He and she could still feel each other, phantom echoes of a bond and the effect of Flightlust on both dragon and human. Their minds were still bonded together, even as the dragon-rider soul bond was fragmented. Get out of my head, Alliath vicously whispered to her former rider, You don't belong here! What!?! I just don't want this Flight to happen like this! I JUST WANT IT TO END! F'chion's voice screamed back at her, and the two willpowers fought each other as Alliath's body suddenly started a headlong plummet to the ground. It was as if she had set up to be caught and it was deadly to the winner of the Shattering battle as the two conciousnesses fought for control. But who would catch the green? And just what future would lie ahead for what happened?
Meanwhile, F'chion and Alliath were both evenly matched in their battle of wills and desires. However, F'chion's willpower would prove to be stronger as Alliath slipped up and realized their dilmenia, only to lose out as she would attempted to correct their headlong plummet. That only made it worse as F'chion barely won against the green and the confusing analomy that would be known as Alchioth was born.

Oh, look at her go! What the Shards happened, though?! Month roared as Allianth--he had not yet known her as Alchioth--fell, and he dove down to catch her, wings pulled close to form a sleek, bulletlike shape to further speed him on his way. He didn't know what had occurred, just that Allianth had stopped talking and started falling, something that the crude Month took for the crescendo of her Flight.
He reached out dark brown talons, so close, so close...
Meanwhile, J'kharl had no idea what happened to the young rider. "Somebody get a Healer or something, now!" He roared, picking up F'chion in a fireman's carry, totally unaware that it was already too late. The normally apathetic Brownrider came alive at this moment, darting out of the doorway to the nearest open space where he could make F'chion more accessible to a Healer.

The earthy brown could not keep himself from releasing a hiss as the Greatmind blue joined the flight. Who did he think he was? This was a weyr dragon, not one of the Shattered. Only weyr dragons should be allowed to chase Alliath. Fulmeninith had no right to intrude.
Don't you have Shattered greens to chase, wherbait? Who do you think you are, Mr. Big Stuff?
As the green ducked and wove between the wings of her chasers, Rynianth almost stuttered in his flight as he made an aborted attempt to catch her. Her voice teased his mind and strengthened his wings. His own voice slipped gently toward her mind, trying to embrace her mind and convince her to choose him.
And why should I not be humble when such a glorious green should allow me to court her in flight? It would be an insult to think that I could equal you unless you allowed it.
Then it happened. Just as she was about to choose, the green seemed to freeze in flight and began to plummet. Rynianth was one of the first to react as Alliath started to fall. A small streak of brown turned and dove, pumping his wings to add to his speed. What had happened to her? The little brown was determined to get there first. With a twist almost sure to make any larger dragon ache if he or she tried to duplicate it, the brown turned from a dive to a head up, tail down hover a distance below the falling green.
Beauty, what happened to you?
